Understanding Tire Sizes
Tire sizes are represented by a code that contains three main numbers:
Width
The first number represents the tire's width in millimeters from sidewall to sidewall.
Aspect Ratio
The second number is the aspect ratio, representing the tire's height as a percentage of its width.
Wheel Diameter
The last number indicates the wheel diameter in inches.
Example
A tire size of 265/70R17 means: 265mm wide, 70% aspect ratio, fits 17-inch wheel.
